Alongside the obvious conditions you get the measured side of it — temperature, humidity, the vocabulary of a forecast — and the seasons themselves, which behave like a small set of their own. The result feels fuller than a small board without ever becoming a puzzle about rare words.

It is a good middle ground for a mixed group, where one person wants a quick win and another wants to stay with it. Since nothing is reversed and nothing runs on a slant, a beginner can be told the rules in one sentence and then left alone. The extra size adds patience to the task, not difficulty.

Do the columns first. Most people scan rows without thinking about it, so the downward entries are the ones still missing at the end; taking them early evens out the second half.
