A pair of new directions opens up here, one running down to the right and one climbing to the right. Nothing is spelled backwards, so a word always begins where you would expect it to begin; it simply may set off at an angle. That single change is enough to make a familiar list feel unfamiliar again.

The vocabulary is the sea in broad strokes: what swims, what drifts, what the water does, and what people build at the edge of it. Reef and coral sit beside the words for moving water, while pearl and anchor bring in the older seafaring end. It is common language throughout, which is why the difficulty comes from the grid and not the words.

Once the straight lines are exhausted, put a finger on each promising letter and trace the diagonals leaving it before you move on.
