Each day brings one grid, picked from the site's themes in turn. Everyone who opens this page on the same date gets exactly the same puzzle, so a family, a class or friends far apart can solve it together and talk about it after.

The grid changes at midnight, on your own device's clock. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is stored: the day's theme and the letters around the words come from the date itself, run through the same generator and the same checks as every other grid on the site. A grid that fails the checks is never shown.
When the last word is found, the share button gives you a short line and a link to the day’s grid, ready to paste into a message or a group chat: whoever opens it the same day solves exactly the same puzzle.
The daily grid is a medium puzzle on a twelve by twelve board: words run across, down and diagonally, never backwards. If the theme of the day catches your interest, the link under the title leads to the full set of puzzles for that theme, at every level.
Read the whole word list before you start: knowing what you are looking for is faster than searching letter by letter.
