Solved

Keyboard: arrows to move, Enter to start a word, arrows to extend, Enter again to confirm, Esc to cancel.

Scale and freedom together are what make this hard. A word can begin anywhere and head in any direction, forwards or backwards, straight or sloped, so many lines run through any given letter and most of them lead nowhere. Stamina matters as much as sharp eyes; people who enjoy this one tend to come back to it across more than one sitting.

The whole vocabulary appears, which means the shortest entries are in there too, and those are the ones that vanish. A name of a few letters can sit in any orientation without leaving a visible shape, so leave those for a dedicated pass rather than hunting them alongside the long, obvious ones.

Do it in rounds: find everything reading forwards first, marking as you go, then turn the sheet upside down and sweep again. The reversed words become ordinary words.
