Warm up your brain with a sports word search packed with games, gear and the people who run a match.
This sports word search mixes team games, individual events and everything around a competition: the official calling fouls, the crowd, the podium. Kids meet familiar games next to less common ones like fencing and curling, and each word has a French translation.
The page has three levels, easy, medium and hard, and grid sizes from 8×8 up to 20×20. Easy puzzles read left to right and top to bottom only; medium adds diagonals, and hard allows words written backwards. Every grid is generated and then checked automatically by software, so each word appears exactly once. It is free, needs no sign-up, and prints with an answer key.

Classroom activity idea
Turn it into a gym-class game: after the puzzle, each student acts out one sport they found without speaking while the group guesses. Then sort the words into team sports, solo sports and winter sports on the board. Print different grids for the class in batches of 1, 5, 10 or 30 copies.
Classroom use is allowed: print as many copies as your students need, free of charge, with no sign-up.
Many ball games end in the same four letters, so find that ending first, then read the letters just before it to see which sport you have.
